TWS: A Tuscan Thanksgiving

TWS: A Tuscan Thanksgiving

November 24 - December 3, 2025 | Maximum Group Size: 15 Participants | Availability: Open

What better way to captivate and awaken your senses than with a journey into the heart of romantic Tuscany? Here, the landscape unfolds in perfect harmony—rolling hills with graceful curves, sweeping views of olive groves, vineyards, and slender cypress trees all bathed in soft, golden light. From the artistic brilliance of Florence to the enduring legacy of the ancient Etruscans and the great treasures of the Renaissance, this is an enriching exploration of culture, history, and breathtaking countryside.

You’ll enjoy the perfect balance of guided excursions and free time to explore at your own pace from our two home bases: Florence and the charming spa town of Montecatini Terme. Whether you’re wandering through medieval towns, discovering artistic masterpieces, or indulging in regional flavors, Tuscany offers inspiration for every traveler.

In Florence—the cradle of artistic and intellectual achievement, where Brunelleschi’s majestic dome defines the skyline—a local guide will lead us through the city’s extraordinary highlights, including Michelangelo’s David, the Uffizi Gallery, and the recently reopened Vasari Corridor. We’ll take in panoramic views from Piazzale Michelangelo, explore the Renaissance splendor of the Pitti Palace, and experience the vibrant pulse of local markets.

Our journey also takes us to the stunning medieval city of Siena, centered around the iconic Piazza del Campo and steeped in history, tradition, and mystique.

Beyond the cities, we’ll venture into the world-famous Carrara marble quarries, visit a traditional frantoio to learn about olive oil production (complete with a tasting, of course!), and enjoy a wine tasting at a local cantina. Throughout the trip, Tuscany’s golden landscapes and ethereal light will echo the artistic spirit that has inspired masters for centuries—from Leonardo da Vinci to the painters of Valdarno.

This Thanksgiving, skip the stress of cooking. If you enjoy your relatives, bring them along—if not, leave them to it and join European Discoveries’ Fiona Bennett and Travel with Sandi’s Sandi Tinyk for an unforgettable Thanksgiving Escape in the Tuscan hills, where culture, history, and lasting memories await.

*Once you have submitted the above registration form with your digital signature, a European Discoveries staff member will be in contact as soon as possible to process your deposit and welcome you to the tour.
