The Gardens of Sicily
October 15 - 25, 2026 | Maximum Group Size: 15 Participants | Availability: Open
Poised between Europe and Africa and commanding the vital passage between East and West across the Mediterranean, Sicily has always stood at the crossroads of history. Over the centuries, it has been shaped by Greeks, Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans, Normans, and others—each leaving behind a unique layer of cultural richness and architectural legacy.
Our journey begins in the vibrant capital of Palermo, then winds across the southern coast and up the eastern edge of the island. Along the way, we’ll explore a breathtaking collection of gardens and hilltop towns, each seemingly vying for the title of Sicily’s most beautiful. From the ancient Greek temples of Agrigento to the Baroque elegance of Ragusa, Noto, and Siracusa, every stop offers a distinct glimpse into the island’s storied past.
With a balanced mix of guided touring and free time, you’ll experience Sicily’s labyrinthine medieval streets, lush gardens, sparkling coastline, and remarkable culinary diversity. The island’s food reflects its multicultural history—each civilization leaving behind flavors, techniques, and traditions that continue to define Sicilian cuisine today. So distinct is this land that even Sicilians speak of “going to Italy,” affirming their island’s proud identity as a world apart.
